CRM manager Supports Philabundance

Published: December 15, 2008

Andy AtkinsLaunched in 2000, the Salesforce.com Foundation stresses the 1/1/1% model. This model strives to offer 1% of founding stocks as grants and monetary assistance to youth and technology, 1% of Product through donations to non-profit organizations, and 1% of employee time by finding meaningful ways to volunteer and give back to communities during paid time off. As a Foundation Partner, CRM manager looks to this model for guidance as we too continue to find ways to reach those less fortunate.

Inspired by the great work of the salesforce.com Foundation, and understanding the great strain that this economic crisis has put on our area, we once again decided to strap on our boots and offer our time and efforts to the great cause and people of Philabundance. Equipped with nothing but a little elbow grease and a desire to give back to this wonderful community that has given so much to us, CRM manager visited the Berks St. Philabundance location on Thursday December 11th to show our support.

Mike Harvey

Founded as a nonprofit food distribution system in 1984, Philabundance works to reduce food waste and fight hunger in the Delaware Valley. In 2005, Philabundance integrated with the Philadelphia Food Bank to become the region’s largest nonprofit hunger relief organization. Today, the organization offers a full plate of services to Delaware Valley residents at risk of chronic hunger and malnutrition.

Though economic troubles have filtered their wayMark Mangano down to affect this organization and consequently, the people they support, Philabundance still relies heavily on the kindness and compassion of volunteers to sort and distribute the donations they receive. We strongly encourage everyone to go out and get involved with your community in any way possible. This year it is more important than ever to lend a helping hand.

CRM manager would like to take this opportunity to thank the Philabundance and their many team members it employs for the many selfless hours they contribute to such a noble cause.

Maria and Nate with our Team

We would also like send a special thank you to Maria and Nate (pictured at right) for serving as our team leaders while we were on location. It is only through the hard work and dedication of such wonderful people that we can continue this fight and look to end hunger in our area.
